About the Role
The National Association for Athletes' Mental Health (NAAMH) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The HR Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR functions of the organization, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all volunteers and staff. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause by leveraging your HR expertise in a volunteer capacity.
Job Function
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job descriptions, screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new volunteers and staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Maintain and update volunteer records and databases.
- Develop and implement volunteer engagement strategies to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
- Address volunteer and staff inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and issues, promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs for volunteers and staff.
- Support professional development initiatives and create resources to aid in volunteer and staff growth.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and organizational policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and projects.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Hours of work Part Time. Availability to dedicate 10-15 hours per week. Ability to attend weekly all staff meeting.
