About the Role
The National Association for Athletes' Mental Health (NAAMH) is dedicated to advocating for and supporting the mental well-being of athletes at all levels. We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Volunteer Fundraising Specialist to join our team. This role is vital in helping us secure the financial resources necessary to expand our programs and services.
As a Volunteer Fundraising Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in fundraising to develop and implement innovative strategies to engage donors, secure sponsorships, and drive fundraising campaigns. Your ability to build relationships and your creative approach to fundraising will be essential in supporting our mission and increasing our impact.
Job Function
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet NAAMH’s financial goals.
Donor Engagement: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic foundations.
Campaign Management: Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events, both online and offline, to generate donations and raise awareness.
Grant Writing: Research and write grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
Partnership Building: Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with businesses and organizations that align with NAAMH’s mission.
Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the success of fundraising initiatives and provide regular reports to the executive team.
Innovative Approaches: Explore and implement creative and non-traditional fundraising methods to engage new donor audiences.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector.
Fundraising Expertise: Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor relationship management.
Grant Writing: Experience in researching and writing successful grant proposals.
Creative Mindset: Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative fundraising strategies.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
Passion: A genuine passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to supporting athletes’ mental well-being.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with fundraising software, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
