About the Role

The Volunteer Event Specialist will support the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple in-person events. This role is ideal for someone with event-planning experience who wants to contribute their skills to a mission-driven organization while working in a collaborative and professional environment.

Requirements

  • Assist with planning and logistics for multiple in-person events

  • Coordinate with venues, vendors, and service providers

  • Support event timelines, task tracking, and logistical checklists

  • Assist with on-site event operations, including setup, registration, and breakdown

  • Support volunteer coordination and on-site troubleshooting

  • Assist with safety planning and basic risk management

  • Communicate regularly with internal team members to ensure alignment

  • Support post-event wrap-up, including documentation and feedback collection

Preferred

  • Prior experience supporting or managing in-person events

  • Familiarity with event logistics, timelines, and coordination

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to remain flexible and solution-focused in fast-paced environments

  • Clear communication and collaboration skills

  • Interest in nonprofit, community, or wellness-focused work

Time Commitment

  • Increased availability leading up to and during event dates

  • On-site support required on event days
