Our Mission

Our mission is to enhance athletes’ mental health across all ages through research, policy development, education, advocacy, and resource provision.

Mental Health Importance

Mental health is crucial in athletics, as it directly impacts an athlete's performance, resilience, and overall well-being. Managing stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges enables athletes to maintain focus, enhance their decision-making abilities, and sustain peak performance levels. Additionally, prioritizing mental health fosters a supportive and inclusive sports culture, promoting long-term success and fulfillment for athletes in their sporting endeavors.

Research

The Us Too survey aims to gather insights and perspectives from the general public regarding mental health in sports. Participants are asked a series of questions related to their awareness of mental health issues in athletics, their perceptions of the importance of mental health support for athletes, and their suggestions for improving mental health resources in the sports industry. The data collected from this survey will inform NAAMH's initiatives and help shape future advocacy efforts aimed at promoting mental well-being among athletes.

#UsToo

To spread awareness with the Us Too Campaign, simply use the hashtag #UsToo across your social media platforms when sharing content related to mental health in sports. Share your own stories, insights, or resources, and encourage others to join the conversation by using the hashtag. Together, we can amplify the message of mental health awareness and support athletes in prioritizing their well-being. Tag us @naamhusa.

Why Donate?

The target fundraising goal for the first campaign is $100,000. Donations will contribute to startup costs for platform development, research and data collection, workshops and seminars with athletes and coaches, and other NAAMH initiatives.
