Lauren Synan, born in Baltimore City, Maryland, is a dedicated Program Specialist at the National Association for Athletes' Mental Health (NAAMH). She holds a B.S. in Public Health from Shenandoah University, where she graduated in 2023. Equipped with certifications in Adult Mental Health First Aid, Lifestyle Coaching Interventionalist, and Basic Life Support, Lauren is passionate about integrating mental health awareness and support into athletic programs.
At NAAMH, Lauren is committed to advancing the full-time development and implementation of mental health programs specifically designed for athletes. She envisions these programs becoming a mandatory component of college and youth sports, ensuring that mental health care is given the same priority as physical training. Her dedication to this mission stems from her desire to make a lasting difference in the health and well-being of athletes at all levels.
Looking ahead, Lauren's career goal is to complete her master’s degree and eventually take on a leadership role as a director of a health program. On a personal note, she aspires to lead a balanced life filled with happiness, health, and a close-knit family. A former lacrosse player and enthusiast, Lauren also enjoys spending time on the beach and staying active with her friends.
