About the Role
The National Association for Athletes' Mental Health (NAAMH) is dedicated to advocating for and supporting the mental well-being of athletes at all levels. We are seeking an outgoing and strategic Volunteer Sponsors and Partnerships Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in building and managing relationships with sponsors and partners to support our programs and initiatives.
As a Volunteer Sponsors and Partnerships Specialist, you will leverage your networking and relationship-building skills to secure sponsorships and develop partnerships that advance our mission. Your ability to identify potential sponsors, create compelling proposals, and maintain strong relationships will be crucial in driving our growth and impact.
Job Function
Sponsorship Acquisition: Identify, approach, and secure sponsorships from businesses, organizations, and individuals that align with NAAMH’s mission and goals.
Partnership Development: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with organizations, sports teams, and mental health advocacy groups to support NAAMH’s initiatives.
Proposal Creation: Create compelling sponsorship proposals and partnership pitches that clearly communicate the value and benefits of supporting NAAMH.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with sponsors and partners, ensuring their ongoing engagement and support.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align sponsorship and partnership efforts with NAAMH’s programs, events, and campaigns.
Event Support: Assist in planning and executing events, ensuring sponsors and partners receive appropriate recognition and benefits.
Reporting: Track and report on sponsorship and partnership activities, including engagement metrics and financial contributions.
Innovation: Explore innovative and non-traditional approaches to sponsorship and partnership development to maximize support for NAAMH.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in sponsorship acquisition, partnership development, or a related role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
Networking Skills: Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to secure sponsorships and develop partnerships.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling proposals and pitches.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple relationships and initiatives simultaneously.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate terms and agreements that provide mutual benefits for NAAMH and its sponsors/partners.
Creative Thinking: Innovative mindset with the ability to identify and pursue unique sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
Passion: A genuine passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to supporting athletes’ mental well-being.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems, proposal software, and Microsoft Office.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
