RACE INFORMATION

The Strong Mind 5K is a community run and walk hosted by the National Association for Athletes’ Mental Health (NAAMH), bringing together athletes, families, teams, and supporters to move with purpose. The event will take place in Long Beach, California on Saturday, June 6, 2026, with the race beginning at 8:00 AM. Open to all ages and fitness levels, the Strong Mind 5K includes an in-person 5K run/walk, a kids run, team participation, and a post-race wellness village designed to foster connection and community.

More than a race, the Strong Mind 5K exists to raise awareness and funding for mental health in athletics. Proceeds from the event directly support NAAMH programs, including the launch of a Mental Health First Aid program, athlete workshops led by mental performance coaches, and expanded access to mental health resources for athletes at every level. By participating, fundraising, or sponsoring, individuals and organizations help strengthen support systems for athletes and promote a culture where mental health is prioritized alongside physical performance.
